Kitchen Metrics ("we", "us", MB STACK) provides a hospitality compliance and kitchen operations platform for restaurants. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the Kitchen Metrics mobile app and related services hosted at hcm.mbstack.net and hcm.api.mbstack.net.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, role (Owner, Chef, Floor staff), restaurant and branch assignment.
- Operational data: inventory counts, sales entries, waste records, expenses, recipes, and compliance reports.
- Photos: images captured or uploaded for waste logging or profile avatars.
- Device and app data: language preference, theme preference, and sync status stored locally on your device.
- Authentication tokens: stored securely on your device to keep you signed in.
3. How we use information
- Provide login, role-based access, and account management.
- Sync operational data with your organisation's backend.
- Generate dashboards, alerts, and reports for authorised users.
- Support offline use and queue data for upload when connectivity returns.
- Respond to support requests and maintain platform security.
4. Permissions (mobile app)
- Internet: required to communicate with our API.
- Camera: to capture waste photos and profile pictures.
- Photos / media: to select images from your gallery.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. Information is shared only with your restaurant organisation's authorised administrators and staff, and with trusted infrastructure providers under confidentiality obligations.
6. Retention & security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS. You may request account or data deletion by contacting us below.
7. Children
Kitchen Metrics is intended for restaurant staff aged 18 and over.
